FAQs

How do I know what size of yale type lock to purchase?

With yale type cylinder locks the most important dimension is from the edge of the door to the centre of the keyhole (where the yake key goes in), normally 60mm or narrow ones are 40mm, in rare cases they can be 40mm.

How do I know what type of chubb type lock to purchase?

Measure your lock and compare the dimensions you have to our sizes. The critical dimension is the keyhole distance from the edge of the door to the centre of the keyhole and the main body cut out, depth and height, if the main body of the new lock is larger, it is easier to cut a hole larger, if the keyhole is wrong, it's hard to move that. Saying that we do sell large keyhole covers to cover any mess you make of the keyhole.
